This will be the sixth Hucknall Christmas Tree Festival and it’s getting more and more popular, each year. Last year’s festival attracted 60 trees and over a thousand visitors!
We’d like to thank you once again for helping to make it so successful and invite you to take part in this year’s event.
The event takes place in St Mary Magdalene Church and opens on Wednesday 2nd December, during Carnival Night and closes on Saturday 5th December.
All proceeds from sponsorship of the trees will go to local charities through the Rotary Club of Hucknall. Proceeds from refreshment sales provided by the church, will go to St Mary Magdalene Church.
There will be an official ribbon-cutting opening ceremony at 6pm on Wednesday 2nd December at the start of the festival.
Please Note: there will be a ‘one way system’ around the church to make sure that every tree is seen by all and to ensure access for prams and wheelchairs.
There will be a competition, judged by the general public to find the best tree. There will be an adult and children’s category and voting will be open from Wednesday evening through to Friday evening. Results will be announced at the church at 12 noon on Saturday 5th December.
Each visitor to the festival will receive a printed guide, listing all participants and their chosen tree decoration theme.
